Trey Burke Bio

Alfonso Clark "Trey" Burke III, professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks, was born November 12, 1992.

He was a collegiate basketball player for the Michigan Wolverines, where he was awarded National Player of the Year in 2012–13 and led the Wolverines to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament championship game in 2013.

As a freshman at Michigan, he was named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Year in 2011–12. CBSSports.com (second team) and the Associated Press named him a 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball All-American (honorable mention). He topped the Big Ten in assists as a sophomore and established the Michigan single-season assist record.

The Minnesota Timberwolves chose him ninth overall in the 2013 NBA draft, and he was subsequently traded to the Utah Jazz. He's also played for the Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks.
