Troy Aikman was born in Covina, California on November 21, 1966. He was the first round, the first overall pick of the Dallas Cowboys in the 1989 NFL Draft. He was in the NFL All-Rookie Team during his debut. He was the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys until 2000.
He was selected to Pro Bowl six times, from 1991 to 1996. He was the 1992 NFL Super Bowl MVP. In 1997, he was the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year. His team has been the Super Bowl champion three times. He also received the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.
In college, Aikman went to UCLA, and the university retired Bruins jersey No. 8 in his honor. Aikman has been working as a sportscaster for the Fox network.
