American professional basketball player Troy Caupain Jr. was born in New York City, New York on November 29, 1995. His career in the sport started in high school at Cosby High School, where, in his senior year, he was named as the All-Metro player of the year. In college, he played for the University of Cincinnati and had brilliant player stats — in his last year, he ranked 22nd in the school’s best-scoring players list. In 2017, after he failed to be drafted during the 2017 NBA draft, NBA G League’s Lakeland Magic recruited him. In 2018, he signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic and made his NBA debut December of that year. In November 2019, Caupain signed a one-year deal with Israeli Premier League’s Hapoel Holon.
