Tunde Adebimpe, born Babatunde Omoroga Adebimpe on February 26, 1975, is a musician, actor, director, and artist hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. His multifaceted career started in 1998, when he became one of the initial animators of MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch. In 2013, he became directed the visual companion for Nine Types of Light’s fourth album. In May 2017, his A Warm Weather, a live multimedia work he made for Walker Art Center premiered. In 2001, he became part of the band TV on the Radio, where he serves as the vocalist. Since then, he has collaborated with many artists including Tinariwen and Massive Attack. As an actor, he starred in Jump Tomorrow, an indie movie, in 2001. He also appeared in Rachel Getting Married alongside actress Anne Hathaway in 2008, and in The Girlfriend Experience and Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017.
