Turnover is an indie band quartet from the east coast, with an upbeat, positive sound and progressive pop attitudes. Their line-up is Austin Getz (vocals, guitar), Nick Rayfield (lead guitar), Danny Dempsey (bass), and Casey Getz (drums). Signed to the Run for Cover Records label, they debuted in 2011 with a self-titled EP. Frontman Austin Getz draws inspiration from Frank Ocean, citing his careful creative process in crafting a sound to inform his own compositions.
They’ve gone on to release three studio albums and tour. They’ve shared a stage with such artists as Young Statues, PJ Bond, Koji, Ivy League, Have Mercy, I Am the Avalanche, The Swellers, Diamond Youth, and Moose Blood. Some critics describe their music as “dream pop” for its easy-going rhythms and carefree attitude; the name does fit their music well.
