TWICE is a South Korean all-girl band that was formed on October 20th 2015 in Seoul, South Korea. The founding members of the band were vocalist Jihyo Park (main vocalist), Nayeon Im, Jeongyeon Yoo, Dahyun Kim, Chaeyoung Son, Momo Hirai, Sana Minatozaki, Mina Myoui and Tzuyu Chou.
TWICE made its first appearance on the Billboard 200 with their ninth EP More & More which was followed months later by their sophomore full-length album Eyes Wide Open. Their first compilation #Twice went platinum in Japan but they first found fame with their 2016 single Cheer Up. The group was also once nominated for Best Korean Act at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards. They are also well known on the social media app Instagram where their twicetagram account has over 15 million followers.
