Dion McKenzie, widely recognized by their stage name Tygapaw, is a pioneering Jamaican music producer and DJ renowned for their boundary-pushing blend of alternative house and dance music.

Tygapaw surged into the New York club scene by establishing Fake Accent, an inclusive event series dedicated to fostering safe spaces for the Black queer and trans community within nightlife across the city.

In 2017, Tygapaw unveiled their debut studio project, the EP "Love Thyself," followed by the release of their inaugural album "GET FREE" in 2020. Their illustrious discography boasts a myriad of influential singles including "GLAMOUR Riddim," "Run 2 U," "The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth," "MYSM," and "Facety," alongside the critically acclaimed album "Love Has Never Been a Popular Movement." Their impact extends beyond solo endeavors, as Tygapaw has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Kelela, contributing to her album "RAVE:N The Remixes" alongside luminaries like BbyMutha and DJ Swisha.
