Tyler Deron Lockett is a professional American football player born September 28, 1992, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. In his early life, he was a part of three teams in high school: basketball, football, and track team. He was a star player in both basketball and football and carried his teams to championships in Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association. Tyler earned an athletic scholarship at Kansas State University from 2011 to 2014. After decent four years at college football, Tyler was selected as 69th pick in 3rd round of the 2015 NFL Draft. In his NFL regular-season debut, Lockett returned a 57-yard punt for a touchdown on his first career return, against the St. Louis Rams. For his performance over the last 5 weeks of his debut season, he earned the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Month for December and January. In seasons 2016 and 2017 he was named All-Pro Second Team. Because of his performance in previous seasons, Tyler earned himself a three-year extension from 2018 to 2021. Lockett was named to the Pro Ball on January 17, 2020, as a substitute.
