Tyler Ulis is a professional basketball player born on January 5, 1996, in Southfield, Michigan, USA. He ended his career at Marian Catholic High School as the all-time leading scorer, leader in assists, and steals leader. Tyler was a two-time Illinois All-State selection and Southtown Star Player of the Year. He participated in the McDonald’s All-America and Jordan Brand Classic games.
The five-star recruit played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, reaching the 2015 Final Four as a freshman. Tyler is the second player after Anthony Davis to win SEC Player of the Year and SEC Defensive Player of the Year in the same season in league history. He made the USA Today's All-America First Team, CBS Sports' All-American First Team, and Sports Illustrated's All-America Second Team.
The Phoenix Suns selected him as the 34th overall pick in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft. The point guard has played for Northern Arizona Suns, Chicago Bulls, Windy City Bulls, and Stockton Kings. His career accomplishments include the Bob Cousy Award (2016), First-team All-SEC (2016), SEC All-Freshman Team (2015), and SEC tournament MVP (2016).
