Tyrod Taylor is an American football player who was born on August 3, 1989, in Hampton, Virginia. He plays as a quarterback and he began his career at Hampton High School, where he also stepped into kick returner and safety roles. He graduated in 2007 and was rated N°1 dual-threat quarterback by Rivals.com. He followed his career in Virginia Tech where he was named starter by coach Frank Beamer after an incredible game against the LSU Tigers. In 2008, during his sophomore year, he played at the ACC Championship Game against Boston College, which they won, and he ended up being awarded as the ACC Championship Game MVP. He also led his team to victory against the Cincinnati Bearcats at the 2009 Orange Bowl. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft and was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens, where he played for four years and became Super Bowl Champion. He then signed with Buffalo Bills in 2015, where he played three seasons and was then traded to Cleveland Browns for a year. In 2019 he signed with Los Angeles Chargers and then changed teams again in 2021 when he signed with Houston Texans.
