Tyson Chandler Bio

Tyson Cleotis Chandler was born on October 2, 1982 in Hanford, California. He played the center position in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has played for various NBA teams – Chicago Bulls (2001 -2006), New Orleans Hornets (2006 -2009), Charlotte Bobcats (2009-2010), Dallas Mavericks (2010 – 2011), New York Knicks (2011-2014), and the Dallas Mavericks (2014-2015) before being picked up by the Phoenix Suns in 2015.

In addition, Chandler has also played for the United States men’s national basketball team. He has many honors and awards, including the NBA championship in 2011, NBA All-Star & NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2013, All-NBA Third Team & NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, California Mr. Basketball in 2000 and 2001, and NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2011 – 2012. He has 3 Gold medals representing the United States –Olympic Games (2012), FIBA World Championship (2010) and FIBA Americas Championship (2007).
