Uma Thurman, born Uma Karuna Thurman on April the 29 1970 in Boston and is an American actress and Model. With a career that began in 1987, she is best known for her film roles, from her debut in the neo-noir thriller Kiss Daddy Goodnight, she became a mainstream name with her work in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction where she portrays Mia Wallace, working alongside such actors as Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta. Her work in the film led to her Academy Award Nomination, BAFTA Award nomination and Golden Globe Nomination.
Then going on to work with Tarantino again with Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2, the actress received ongoing accolades for her work. More recently, the actress has worked more in television with a role as Anouk in The Slap and Lenny in the dark comedy, Imposters.
