Us the Duo Bio
Us the Duo formed from the meeting of Carissa Martin from Los Angeles, California, and Michael Alvarado, from North Carolina. They were both solo artists who met on the set of a music video. The couple soon married and started uploading cover versions of popular songs on the Vine social network. This led to their becoming famous enough to win a recording contract with Republic Records in 2014. They have since released four studio albums and an extended play as of this writing.
Us the Duo has toured with the a cappella vocal group Pentatonix on their 2014 World Tour, and with the artist Tori Kelly, as touring themselves in the UK, Europe, and Japan. Online, their music has garnered over 100 million streams. Us the Duo represents a new breed of independent musicians nurtured entirely off social media fame.
