Valentin Aleksandrovich Chmerkovskiy, better known as Val Chmerkovskiy, is a Ukrainian-American professional dancer best known for starring in Dancing with the Stars. He was born in Odesa, Ukraine, on March 24, 1986. Val became famous in 2011 when he became a regular dancer on Dancing with the Stars, and throughout his time on the show, he partnered with Zendaya, Tamar Braxton, Normani Kordei, Janel Parrish, and he won it twice with Rumer Willis and Laurie Hernandez. Val has appeared on the TV shows Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, Celebrity Page, Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, and Extra with Billy Bush. Val also won the World Latin Dance Championship and the U.S. National Latin Dance Championship.
