Val Kilmer Bio

Val Kilmer was born on December 31, 1959 in Los Angeles, California. He started as a stage actor and wrote and starred in the play How It All Began in 1981. He appeared in the off-Broadway production of The Slab Boys. His break came playing in Top Secret! He played the lead in Real Genius and was cast in Top Gun, which made him a major star. From there, Kilmer went on to star in The Murders in the Rue Morgue, Willow, Kill Me Again and Billy the Kid. He spent a year preparing for his role in The Doors. He starred in Tombstone, Wings of Courage, and Heat before being cast in Batman Forever in 1995.

Kilmer later appeared in Dead Girl and The Island of Dr Moreau. He voiced Moses in The Prince of Egypt and later starred in At First Sight, Red Planet, Hard Cash and Wonderland. He starred in Alexander and later reprised his role of Moses in The Ten Commandments: The Musical. He guest-starred in Numb3rs, Felon and Psych.
