Valarie Carolyn Allman (born February 23, 1995 in Newark, Delaware) is an American track and field athlete most renowned for discus throw.
Allman was a seven-time All-American at Stanford University where she studied product design. She represented her country at the 2017 Summer Universiade, where she won a silver medal. She won bronze for the country in the 2017 World Championships. In 2018, Allman won bronze at the 2018 Athletics World Cup and silver at the 2018 NACAC Championships. She also won the title of National Champion. At the 2019 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships, Allman earned gold in the women’s 10,000 meters.
In 2020, she won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She finished 2020 with a personal best of 70.15 meters. At the 2022 World Athletics Championships, Allman became the first American woman to win a world championship medal in the discus throw following her third place finish.
