Best known for her song, A Thousand Miles, that ranked in the top 5 on the 2002 billboard Hot 100, Vanessa Carlton published her debut album in 2002, titled Be Not Nobody. Vanessa was born on 16 August 1980 in Milford, Pennsylvania, USA, and her daughter, fathered by Deer Tick band member John McCauley, was born on 13 January 2015. She has played the piano since the mere age of 2, and by the time she was 14, juggled school life, ballet, and songwriting all at once. She was signed by A&M records in 2001.
