Vanessa Sigiane da Mata Ferreira (born February 10, 1976) is a Latin Grammy Award-winning Brazilian MPB singer, composer, and novelist best known as Vanessa da Mata. She has four studio albums to her credit, with the songs "Ai, Ai, Ai," "Boa Sorte/Good Luck," and "Amado" all reaching number one in Brazil.
Vanessa's self-titled debut album was published by Sony Music in 2002.
The single "No Me Deixe Só," which peaked at 25th in the Brazilian list and 42nd in the Portuguese, was the album's biggest hit. Two more songs from the album, "Nossa Canço" and "Onde Ir," were modest hits, achieving peak positions of 40th and 69th in the Brazilian chart, respectively, after being featured in the soundtrack albums of two Rede Globo telenovelas.
