Vanessa Mai Bio
Vanessa Marija Else Ferber (born 2 May 1992) is a German singer who goes by the stage name Vanessa Mai. Mai completed an apprenticeship as a media designer before starting her professional music career.
In the school musical The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, she had one of her first appearances as a performer. She had previously accompanied her father, a Croatian-born musician on the tambourine on occasion.
She rose to prominence as a member of the Schlager band Wolkenfrei before going solo after the band disbanded. Her stage name, Mai (pronounced [ma]), is a reference to her birth month, which is spelt Mai (pronounced [ma]) in German.
