Vato Gonzalez was born in Spijkenisse, Netherlands as Björn Franken on June 6, 1983. He started to venture into the world of music during his teenage years. He also started dropping mixtapes in 2007 which led to his big break. He partnered with MC Tjen and he started touring in different countries in Europe. The tune Badman Riddim eventually reached the UK and received airplay on BBC Radio 1. Foreign Beggars, a hip-hop group from the UK, partnered with Vato Gonzales and Badman Riddim was released by the Ministry of Sound as a single. The said track became one of the biggest summer hits in 2011. In the following years, he released more music including “Monkey Riddim” featuring Tjen, “Hyper Riddim” with Sebastian Bronk, and “X-ray Vision” featuring Kris Kiss.
