Veil Of Maya Bio
Veil of Maya is an American metalcore band formed in 2004 in Chicago, Illinois, by Marc Okubo and Sam Applebaum, who later added Danny Hauser and Lukas Magyar to the mix. The band’s full-length debut album was titled All Things Set Aside and went out through Corrosive Recordings in 2006. A second album under the name The Common Man's Collapse was recorded in 2008 and released the same year. The band then embarked on extensive touring in the U.S. with bands like Arsis, A Life Once Lost, and Born Of Osiris. In 2010, a third LP called ID was released. Produced by Michael Keene, it reached number 107 on the Billboard 200. A 28-minute album called Eclipse went out in 2012, followed by Matriarch in 2015. In 2017, singles “Doublespeak” and “Overthrow” foreshadowed yet another album under the name False Idol.
