Vengaboys Bio
The Vengaboys are a Dutch Eurodance music group based in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. The group was brought together by Dutch producers Wessel van Diepen and Dennis van den Driesschen. The band is formed by lead female vocalists Kim Sasabone and Denise Post-Van Rijswijk and male vocalists Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa. They had their greatest commercial success in the late 1990s. Their singles, “We Like to Party”, “Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!” and “We’re Going to Ibiza”, became popular, the last two even topping UK song charts. In total, they have sold over 25 million records worldwide. The Vengaboys were awarded best-selling dance group of the year at the World Music Awards in 2001. According to Dutch online newspaper Nu.nl, the Vengaboys could be the most successful Dutch pop group in history. In 2019, they has their 20th anniversary and put out an EP called “Unplugged #1s”.
