Vijender Singh Beniwal better known as Vijender Singh was born in Kaluwas, Haryana, India on October 29, 1985. He won the gold medal in the 2000 Nations. In 2003, he became the champion in All-India youth boxing. He bagged the gold medal in the Afro-Asian games held in 2003.
In 2004, Vijender competed in the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics welterweight division, but he lost. In the 2006 Commonwealth Games, he made it to the semi-finals and won the bronze medal. He joined the 2006 Asian Games middleweight division and won another bronze medal. He reached the quarterfinals in the Middleweight Boxing of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and won a bronze medal.
Vijender won the 2010 Asian Games. He won the WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight in 2016.
