VOLA is a Danish progressive metal band known for its dynamic soundscapes, intricate rhythms, and captivating melodies.
Formed in 2006, the band consists of Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keys), Nicolai Mogensen (bass), and Adam Janzi (drums). Drawing influences from a wide array of genres including metal, electronica, and alternative rock, VOLA has crafted a unique sonic identity that pushes the boundaries of contemporary music.
In 2008, they released their debut studio project, the EP, Homesick Machinery. Their 2015 debut album "Inmazes" garnered critical acclaim for its innovative approach to songwriting and production, showcasing the band's technical prowess and songcrafting abilities. In 2018, VOLA followed up with their sophomore release "Applause of a Distant Crowd", further solidifying their position in the progressive metal scene.
