Waka Flocka Flame Bio
Born Juaquin Malphurs on May 31, 1986, rapper Waka Flocka Flames has grown in international popularity thanks to his singles such as “Hard in da Paint” and “No Hands”, among others. The rapper was born in South Jamaica, Queens, but later moved with his family to Riverdale, Georgia. He met Gucci Mane when he was still a teenager, seeing as his mother was once Gucci Mane’s manager. In 2009, Waka Flocka released his debut single “O Let’s Do It”, which went to #62 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He later joined the 1017 Brick Squad with Gucci Mane, Frenchie, Wooh da Kid, and OJ Da Juiceman. In the fall of 2010, Waka Flocka unveiled his debut album Flockaveli, which shot to #6 on the Billboard 200. Since its release, the rapper has collaborated to release a variety of mixtapes with artists such as Slim Dunkin, Gucci Mane, and Drake.
Waka Flocka Flames released his second studio album in early 2012 entitled Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family, which was followed by Flockaveli 2 in 2014.
