Walter Seff Isaacson is an American journalist, show host, TV personality, media executive, and author best known for his work in television. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, on May 20, 1952.
Walter began his news career in print media when he joined The Sunday Times in London in the 1970s, and he went on to work with New Orleans Times-Picayune and Time magazine. In the decades, that followed, Walter was recognized for his behind-the-scenes work when he was named the CEO and chairman of CNN in 2001.
Walter has made appearances on the TV shows Morning Joe, Amanpour & Company, CBS News Sunday Morning, and Charlie Rose. Walter wrote the books The Code Breaker, Steve Jobs: The Exclusive, Leonardo Da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Einstein, and The Innovators.
