Watchhouse Bio
Watchhouse is an American folk duo formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 2009. The band, formerly known as Mandolin Orange, consists of couple Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, who are married. They changed the name in April 2021, releasing a new single titled Better Way, produced by Josh Kaufman, and an accompanying music video directed by Lachlan Turczan.
The duo later released their self-titled album on August 13, 2021, under Tiptoe Tiger Music, with the lead single New Star. They have produced six albums of Marlin's original works of American roots music under the name Mandolin Orange, four of which were produced under Yep Roc Records. Watchhouse was the featured artist on CBS This Morning's Saturday Morning Sessions on December 7, 2019.
