We Were Promised Jetpacks Bio

We Were Promised Jetpacks is a rock band from Scotland. The band was formed in 2003 and consisted of vocalist/guitarist Adam Thompson, bassist Sean Smith, drummer Darren Lackie. Stuart McGhan, a keyboardist and guitarist, joined the band in 2012 but left three years later. The founder of the musical group, Michael Palmer, also left in July 2019. The band released their first album, titled “These Four Walls,” in June 2009 under Fat Cat Records.

Their second album, titled “In the Pit of the Stomach,” was released in October 2011. This was followed by a third album, “Unravelling,” and a fourth album “The More I Sleep The Less I Dream” in October 2014 and September 2018 respectively. After parting ways with Palmer, the group continued as a trio. When COVID19 struck, they canceled all their plans and started writing new songs.
