Ween is the name of a vey popular American alternative and experimental rock band formed in 1984 in New Hope, Pennsylvania, by Aaron Freeman, better known by the stage name Gene Ween, and Mickey Melchiondo, known as Dean Ween. The other members are Dave Dreiwitz, Claude Coleman JR., and Glenn McClelland. Together they began their career releasing cassette albums until 1990 when they began producing studio albums, of which they released nine. The band went on a break in 2012 due to personal issues but returned in 2015. They have dedicated to touring and live performing and have no current plans to release new music. Among the band’s most famous songs we can find “Ocean Man”, “Tried and True”, “Bananas and Blow”, “Transdermal Celebration” and “It’s Gonna Be a Long Night”.
