Wenyen Gabriel Bio

Wenyen Gabriel is a professional basketball player born in Khartoum, Sudan, on March 26, 1997. Wenyen made the Naismith All-America Third Team and is a two-time MVP for Wilbraham & Monson Academy. In 2016, he participated in the Jordan Brand Classic game and was part of the Nike Hoop Summit. He was on the 2016 USA Junior National Select Team.

Wenyen was the power forward for the University of Kentucky NCAA Men's Basketball team. The 2016 5-star prospect was number 14 on ESPN's Top 100. He earned All-SEC Tournament First-Team honors in 2018. Although he went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Wenyen made the Sacramento Kings' 2018 Summer League team.

Wenyen joined the Wisconsin Herd as an affiliate player in October 2021. He joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022, wearing the number 35 jersey. He has played with Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets, and Los Angeles Clippers.
