Werner Herzog is a well-known German director who was born on September 5th, 1942, in Munich. He produced documentaries while he was a student at film school at Duquesne University. He is known for writing and producing his movies with a small budget. In the later years of his career, he established himself as a prominent figure in German cinema. All of his films follow distinct styles and focus, making each one original. He is known for his work on the feature films "Wrath of God," "Aguirre," and "Fitzcarraldo." Werner Herzog's documentary "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" is one of his most famous works. Moreover, in recognition of his work on the film Fitzcarraldo, he was given the award for best director at the Cannes Film Festival in the year 1982.
