Wes Brown is a former professional player who played as a defender. Born on 13th October 1979 in Longsight, Manchester, England, Brown started his career with Fletcher Moss Ranger. In 1992, he joined the Manchester United academy, where he stayed until 1996 when he joined the senior team. Brown went on to make 232 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 3 goals. He was part of the team that won the Treble during the 1998 – 99 season.
He also won one League Cup, one UEFA Champions League, one FA Cup, and four Premier League titles with Manchester United. In 2011, he joined Sunderland, where he played until 2016. He later joined Blackburn Rovers and Kerala Blasters. Brown was first called to the England national team in 1999. He also played at the 2002 World Cup. He officially retired from professional football in August 2010.
