Wild Nothing was formed by Jack Tatum, and was originally a one man project based in Blacksburg, VA. The former name of the project was Jack and the Whale and Face Paint. The project has a synthesized Indie pop sound. After Tatum released a few demo tracks, the project picked up some traction and Tatum recruited Jeff Haley, a bassist, Nathan Goodman on guitar and Max Brooks, a drummer, to perform in live shows and on tour. Wild nothing’s first full-length album titled Gemini was released in 2010 and again in 2011 this time adding a cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Cloudbusting’. After Tatum moved to Los Angeles he began working on a new album titled Life of Pause, which was recorded in Sweden. Sweden is one of his favorite cities to work in because he likes being near the water and he says that he can be free from life’s distractions and focus well there.
