Preferring to go by only his last name, Mark Wilkinson is a British DJ and music producer who was born in South London. Having always been interested in the process of music production and remixing, Wilkinson’s career took off in 2010 with the release of his debut single “Moonwalk / Samurai”, which was put out under RAM Records. The single appeared on a compilation album entitled Nightlife 5. Six months later, he debuted another single entitled “Every Time / Overdose”, which led to the shooting of a music video. He released “Tonight / Pistol Whip” in late 2011, yet the single was re-released in 2013 and was honored as the iTunes Single of the Week just in time to promote his upcoming album.
After debuting a variety of singles throughout 2011 and 2012, Wilkinson finally dropped his debut studio album Lazers Not Included in late 2013. It shot to the #2 spot on the UK Dance chart, and was followed by the release of the single “Too Close”, which became the #55 song in the UK. Later in 2014, Wilkinson released the second album Lazers Not Included 2.0, which features new material as well as previously recorded songs and productions that were never put out. He has also had a hand in production of other artists’ songs, such as with Katy B and Angel Haze.
