William Bell Yarbrough is an American singer and songwriter who performs soul and R&B music. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, United States, on July 16, 1939. William began his music career in 1957 as a member of the vocal group Del Rios, and he released his debut single as a solo artist You Don't Miss Your Water in 1961. His discography includes the hit singles I Forgot to Be Your Lover, Every Day Will be Like a Holiday, Private Number, The Three of Me, and the albums The Soul of a Bell, A Portrait Is Forever, and This Is Where I Live. His hit single Tryin’ to Love Two peaked at number one on the US R&B Charts. His music was featured in the album 100 Greatest Soul alongside fellow artists Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, and Curtis Mayfield. For his studio project This Is Where I Live, William won a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album.
