William Zabka is an American actor, screenwriter, director and producer. He was born as William Michael Zabka on the 20th October, 1965 in New York City, US. He started doing commercial ads for Kool-Aid, Pepsi and milk companies. In 1984, he got his first acting role in the movie “The Karate Kid”, where he played the antagonist of the protagonist played by Ralph Macchio. This role sparked his interest in martial arts and he started learning Tang Soo Do, earning a second degree belt. In the 80’s, he filmed several iconic movies like “The Karate Kid Part II” in 1986, and the comedy “Back to School”, in the same year. In 2004, Zabka was nominated for an Academy Award in the Live Action Short Film category for his work co-writing and producing the short movie “Most”. His short movie “Most” was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival in 2003, and it won numerous awards at film festivals, including Best of Festival at the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films in 2003.
