Winston Duke Bio

Winston Duke is a Trinbagonian American actor. He was born on the 15th of November, 1986, in Argyle, Trinidad and Tobago. He graduated from the Yale School of Drama in 2013 and he started his career in stages, while performing in the Portland Stage Company and the Yale Repertory Theatre. In 2014, he landed his first role in the CBS series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” The same year, Duke got further recognition portraying Dominic Besson, a gang leader, in Jonathan Nolan’s drama series “Person of Interest”. In 2016, he got a major career breakthrough when he starred in the Oscar-winning “Black Panther” as the warrior M’Baku. Duke has played the same role on “Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.” In 2019, he co-starred with Lupita Nyong'o in the horror movie “US”, which was a critical and commercial success. In 2020 he starred in the science fiction movie “Nine Days”, as well as in Mark Wahlberg’s “Spencer Confidential”.
