Woody Allen was born in Brooklyn, New York City on December 1, 1935. He worked on The Sid Caesar Show in 1958 and received a Primetime Emmy Nomination for Best Writing of a Single Musical or Variety Program.
He won more than a hundred awards from different bodies including four Oscars. He earned his first Oscar for the 1997 film Annie Hall for Best Director and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. He won in the same category for his work on Hannah and Her Sisters. In 2012, he nabbed another award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay for Midnight in Paris.
In 2016, he directed the TV series Crisis in Six Scenes. He also worked on Wonder Wheel and A Rainy Day in New York.
