Yeasayer Bio

Yeasayer was an American band from Brooklyn, NY born in 2006. It was formed by Chris Keating, Anand Wilder, and Ira Wolf Tuton. The third one joined the other two after they were doing shows while they were in high school. The line up was quite different. Not only because Wilder and Keating were lead vocalists and songwriters but because they produced their songs like they were one person. Their first single was a double A-side of “Sunrise” and “2080”, songs performed on their first album “All Hour Cymbals” released in 2007. February of 2010 welcomed their album “Odd Blood” presenting songs more related to pop music influences than their first albums and, only two years after, they issued “Fragrant World” by leaking on purpose directly to 200 random fans their single “Henrietta”. Just like what happened between their first two albums, this one was filled with a more abstract sound. After two more albums (“Amen & Goodbye” and “Erotic Reruns”) they announced the separation of the band.
