Yelle is a French Pop/Rock band that was founded in 2005 when two friends, Julie Budet and Jean-François Perrier, also known as GrandMarnier, decided to start to create music together. That same year they posted their first song on the social media page MySpace, which was called “Short Dick Cuizi'' and became quite popular. In 2006 they decided to make adjustments to the song and changed the title to “Je Veux Te Voir '' and re-released it as their first official single, which reached the Top 5 hit in France. After that, they incorporated Tanguy Destable, known as TERP to the band. In 2007, they released their first album named “Pop-Up”. Following this, they toured around France and collaborated with Robyn, Nouvelle Vague, and Crookers. They even got a contract to remix Katy Perry’s song “Hot & Cold''. In 2011, they were contacted by Katy Perry again, this time to tour with her in her “Teenage Dream” tour around the UK. Since then, they released 3 more albums, which were “Safari Disco Club '' in 2011, "Complètement fou" in 2014 and “L'ère du Verseau” in 2020.
