Yo La Tengo Bio
Yo La Tengo, often abbreviated YLT, is an American indie rock band that was formed in 1984 in Hoboken, New Jersey. Yo La Tengo was able to achieve limited success with the record labels Matador, Bar/None, City Slang, Alias, and Arts & Crafts México. Since 1992, YLT’s lineup has consisted of Ira Kaplan (playing guitars and piano), Georgia Hubley (playing drums and piano), and James McNew (playing bass). However, in their 14th album Stuff Like That There, guitarist Dave Schramm was featured. Past members include Mike Lewis, Dave Rick, and Stephan Wichnewski. Regardless who is a member, the band is known for their covers of popular songs. They also make songs in honor of other musicians and emotional bonds.
