Yob Bio

Yob is an American doom metal band started in 1996 in Eugene, Oregon. The band was started in 1996 by Mike Scheidt on vocals and guitar, Lowell Iles on bass guitar, and Greg Ocon on drums. The current members are Mike Scheidt still on vocals and guitar, Aaron Rieseberg on bass guitar, and Travis Foster on drums. The band’s first demo titled YOB was submitted to Stonerrock.com in 1999 and released in 2000. They released their first full length studio album in 2002 with 12th records titled Elaborations of Carbon and have since released the albums Catharsis, The Illusion of Motion, The Unreal Never Lived, The Great Cessation, Atma, Clearing the Path to Ascend, and Our Raw Heart. They also have two live albums titled Live at Roadburn 2010 and The Unreal Never Lived: Live at Roadburn 2012. The band broke up in 2006 after ten years of performing together, but in 2008 decided to reshape the band and release several more albums.
