Yoko Ono was born on February the 18th 1933 in Tokyo ad is a Japanese peace activist, songwriter, singer and multimedia artist known for her work as a performance artist and filmmaking. Well known as the wife of John Lennon, she has released music since 1970, with her debut album titled Yoko Ono/ Plastic Ono Band and contained free jazz sounds and followed this up with thirteen critically acclaimed albums, with an additional seven albums released with John Lennon..
As an artist, Ono has created sixteen experimental films between 1964 and 1972 and as an actor has worked in Michael Findlay’s Satan’s Bed and has worked on the Canadian television show Flipside and more recently voiced a character in Wes Anderson’s 2018 film, Isle of Dogs.
