Young Greatness Bio
Young Greatness, born Theodore Jones, is a New Orleans-born rapper who started recording shortly in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. He briefly relocated to Houston, where he met southern rap legend Bun B, and eventually got signed off the success of the “My Prayer,”
a song detailing his struggles of the past years. Though the record deal eventually fell through, in 2010 he began recording a number of mixtapes in Atlanta and New Orleans, through which he signed with Motown Records and collaborated with artists such as Meek Mill. In 2015, Young Greatness released I Tried to Tell Em, his most successful release at the time, and began gaining traction online. His most recent project, Reloaded, is a re-release of I Tried to Tell Em, prompted by the late success of the single “Moolah.” It was released in April 2016.
