Youri Tielemans Bio
Youri Tielemans is a professional soccer player who currently plays as a midfielder for Leicester City of the English premier league and the Belgium national team. Born on 7th May 1997 in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, Belgium, Tielemans started his career with the youth setup at Anderlecht in 2002. He was promoted to the senior side in 2013 and made 139 appearances for the Belgium club, scoring 26 goals. In 2017, he joined Ligue 1 club AS Monaco on a contract that would see him stay at the club for five years.
In January 2019, he joined Leicester City on a loan deal until the end of the 2019 – 20 season. In July 2019, he completed a permanent move to the English club in a contract that would keep him at the club for four years. Tielemans got his first call up to the senior Belgium national team in June 2015. He made his debut for the national team in a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands. He has so far made 52 appearances for the national team, scoring 5 goals.
