Yun-Fat Chow is a Hong Kong actor born in Lamma Island, Hong Kong on May 18, 1955. He is best known for his roles in the films The Killer, A Better Tomorrow, Hard Boiled, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. He has had a successful career in acting, appearing in over 120 films and 24 television shows and is the second highest earning actor in Hong Kong. In 1974 he made his debut on television in the show Chinese Folklore: God of River Lok and has had roles in shows like Little Women, Hotel, A House Is Not a Home, The Giants, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Over the Rainbow, The Superpower and more. He made his debut in film in 1976 in the movie Learned Bride Thrice Fools the Bridegroom and continued landing roles in films like Hot Blood, Postman Strikes Back, Dream Lovers, City on Fire, Peace Hotel, The Assassins, Cold War 2 and many others. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won three Hong Kong Film Awards, two Golden Horse Awards and more.
