Zach Randolph is an American, two-time NBA All-Star professional basketball player born in Marion, Indiana on July 16, 1981. Over the course of his career he has played for six different teams. He attended college at Michigan State University and played basketball for the college team. In 2001 he was drafted by the NBA team the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2001 NBA draft, 19th overall. He remained in the same position he played in college as the power forward. In 2004 he won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award and signed a 6-year extension with the Trail Blazers for $84 million. He was traded to the New York Knicks in 2007 and played eleven games with the team before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2008. After playing 39 games with the Clippers he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2009. Randolph had a successful number of years playing with the Grizzlies. In 2017 Randolph signed a two-year contract with the Sacramento Kings for $24 million and played with the team for two years before being trading to his current team the Dallas Mavericks.
