Zé Ramalho (born José Ramalho Neto in Brejo do Cruz, Paraba, Brazil on October 3, 1949) is a Brazilian composer and musician.
Zé Ramalho has worked with a number of well-known Brazilian musicians, including Vanusa, Geraldo Azevedo, and Alceu Valença. Elba Ramalho, a well-known Brazilian composer and musician, is Zé Ramalho's first cousin.
He was influenced by rock & roll as were many other musicians in his youth, but by the age of 20, his music had taken on a more Northeastern Brazilian flavor. Zé Ramalho's lyrics, on the other hand, are heavily impacted by the everyday struggles of the common Brazilian.
