Zeal & Ardor Bio
Zeal & Ardor is a metal, blues, and African American fusion band that was formed in 2013 in Basel, Switzerland. Manuel Gagneux started the band as a brainchild and was initially a solo project. In 2016 the band signed with MVKA records, and the other members of the band joined. They released their first album that same year and it was called "Devil Is Fine". Later that year they were featured in Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best metal records in 2016. They released their second album “Stranger Fruit” in 2018 as well as the singles “Gravedigger’s Chant”, “Waste” and “Built on Ashes”. That year the band was invited to join Astronoid as support in their American tour and performed at Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. They released their first EP in 2020, which was named Wake of a Nation.
