Jessé Gomes da Silva Filho (who’s popularly known by his stage name Zeca Pagodinho) is a Brazilian composer, singer and songwriter who was born on February 4th 1959 in Iraja, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was born and raised in Iraja, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Zeca rose to fame through his albums that have produced several gold and platinum records. Some of his compositions has been recorded by Beth Carvalho, Alcione, and Jorge Aragao. Zeca also received the BRA GA de Musica award for Best Singer in 2008 for his hit albums Zeca Pagodinho and Jeito Moleque. He was also the winner of the Best Singer award at the 2003 Trofeu Imprensa de Melhor Cantor awards. His album Ser Humano got him nominated for Best Samba/Pagode Album at the 16th annual Latin Grammy Awards.
